The performance venues for the 2027 Musicians Abroad National Honor Band & Choir European Tour include some of the finest performance spaces in the world. Learn more about where our groups will be presenting their concerts.<\/em><\/p>\n

Augsburg<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kongress am Park<\/a>
\n\"Kongressaal
\nAfter declaring the Ludwig House in general and the dome in particular as dilapidated the City issued another invitation for a tender for the new construction of a concert- and congress hall. The drafts of architect Max Speidel of Stuttgart convinced the jury. It praised his architectural approach ‘of timeless elegance; modern, but not spoiling for modernist effects’. As soon as the Ludwig House was dynamited (the dome, by the way, was almost left undamaged) the planning and construction of the new congress hall began. On Saturday, 17th June 1972, the hall saw its festive opening.<\/p>\n

Bratislava<\/strong><\/p>\n

Slovak Radio Concert Hall<\/a>\"Slovak
\nThe Slovak Radio Concert Hall in Bratislava is a renowned, acoustically superior venue located inside an iconic inverted pyramid-shaped building. Completed in 1983, this cultural monument features a 523-seat hall with one of Central Europe’s largest organs, hosting the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, along with classical, pop, and alternative gigs.<\/p>\n

Vienna<\/strong><\/p>\n

Das MuTh<\/a>\"Das
\nMuTh is the most modern concert hall in Vienna. Having opened in 2012 with an inaugural concert by the Vienna Philharmonic and the Vienna Boys\u2019 Choir, MuTh represents a meeting-point for music and theatre. MuTh promotes classical and avant garde alike and always stands for openness and diversity. With comprehensive stage facilities and a configurable orchestra pit, MuTh can function equally well as a theatre and as a concert hall. The theatre stages up to 300 productions a year. These include chamber music, children\u2019s opera, orchestral evenings, dance projects, jazz sessions, performance art and contemporary music.<\/p>\n

Prague<\/strong><\/p>\n

Smetana Hall<\/a>\"Smetana
\nSmetana Hall is the central area of the first floor and of the entire Municipal House The organ is decorated with a medallion of Bed\u0159ich Smetana. Initially, especially the Czech Philharmonics played in the Smetana Hall and since 1942 the hall has been the main hall of the Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, which has been here till today. The Smetana Hall is a regular point of the most important concerts of the Prague Spring.<\/p>\n

Chris loves attending Broadway Musicals with his daughter Erin and travels annually to see the Colts at an away venue with his son Jared.
