OHMA ’26 Staff Members- Bender,Kovach,Paulis

Each Musicians Abroad tour is guided by an outstanding team of educators who bring leadership, experience and enthusiasm to every step of the journey. These dedicated professionals support students through rehearsals, performances and travel abroad, ensuring each participant has a meaningful and unforgettable experience.

 

Jayce Bender

Jayce is currently the choir director at Swanton HS and MS in Swanton, Ohio, where he directs six ensembles and also assists with the marching band. Jayce is the tenor section leader, cantor and substitute organist at Christ the King Church in Toledo. He is also a member of the Perrysburg Chorale and is very proud to be a member of the Toledo Opera chorus.

Megan Kovach

Megan Kovach has taught the MS band and orchestra in the North Olmsted City School District in Cleveland, Ohio, for 12 years. She also assists at the High School with the concert bands, marching band and Orchestra. Kovach has taught for 18 years and her primary instrument is clarinet. Originally from Oneonta, New York, she moved to Ohio to obtain her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Bowling Green State University.

Zoey Paulis

Zoey Paulus is the choral director at Mount Gilead HS and MS. Zoey graduated with her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Bowling Green State University. In her free time, she enjoys giving voice lessons, performing and baking.
