This international tour is with the group from the great state of Michigan. Known for great lakes, rugged trails, tulips and beaches, the mitten is surrounded on three sides by waterways. Michigan is the birthplace of the automobile industry and produces cherries, apples and blueberries, ranks 10th in population and is proud to be the Great Lakes state.

Arrive at the airport. We will board planes to your designated airport with one more check on your passport before your overseas flight to Europe!

Flights Arrive, Windsor Castle

Welcome to London! After an overnight flight, we arrive in London in the morning. Stay in line with your advisors to go through passport control, baggage claim and customs check. Take a coach trip to Windsor for sightseeing and a chance to visit Windsor Castle. You will notice right away that cars drive on the left side of the road in England! A return to London for hotel check-in, dinner and orientation then an evening walk to explore some of the great sights of London!

London City Tour, Tower of London, Leisure Evening

We’ll watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace then tour the Tower of London, seeing the fabulous display of the Crown Jewels. Later that day you have the chance for small group activities – stop by the British Museum, go to Evensong at Westminster Abbey, attend one of London’s popular musicals, hear a symphony or brass band concert, take a ride on the incredible London Eye, discover the activities in and around Covent Garden, or hang out at Piccadilly Circus.

Concerts in London

After breakfast at the hotel, we load the coaches for an incredible day of sightseeing in London. Highlights include Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, 10 Downing Street (official residence and office of the British Prime Minister), London Bridge and more. Today will also be your first tour performance for an enthusiastic London audience!

Travel Day to France

We will be up early today for a quick breakfast then load the coaches to depart London for the coast of England. We’ll take a ferry across the English Channel, leaving behind the White Cliffs of Dover. The euro is now our currency as we arrive in Calais, France. After a prearranged dinner in Paris, we’ll take a scenic boat ride on the Seine River that features many of the iconic Paris sights – the Eiffel Tower, the flying buttresses of Notre Dame Cathedral, the original Statue of Liberty and much more.

Paris Sightseeing

Get ready for a memorable day! What could top a visit to the Eiffel Tower? Maybe you want to go up to the third and highest level of the Tower for exquisite views of Paris. A sightseeing tour to the Arc du Triomphe, the Champs Élysées, Notre Dame Cathedral, Luxembourg Gardens and Les Invalides which houses Napoleon’s tomb. There will be a performance by one of our KMA ensembles for Parisian audiences. You’ll have some amazing photos from this day!

Concerts in Fontainebleau

We start the day by traveling outside the city to the picturesque area of Fountainbleau. The city is a favorite weekend getaway for Parisians, home to the large scenic forest of Fountainbleau. You’ll have an opportunity to visit Castle Fountainbleau before all groups will perform this afternoon in the gardens of the castle. Enjoy a post-concert dinner together before returning to Paris early evening.

Travel to Villars, Switzerland

Prepare for an early departure from our hotel in Paris. Enjoy the beautiful scenery between Paris and Switzerland with a lunch stop along the way. Some of the most breath-taking scenery in the world awaits you in Switzerland, including the famous Alpine peaks of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Montreux, Concert in Leysin

This morning will be spent at your leisure enjoying the completely different landscape that is Switzerland. Midday, we head to Montreux and enjoy a visit to the Castle Chillon. Montreux is a resort town on the shores of Lake Geneva, famous for its annual Jazz Festival, held every year since 1967. Tonight, you’ll perform your Swiss concert in the town of Leysin.

Full Day excursion to the Matterhorn

It’s up early today for an unforgettable adventure. Load the coaches for a trip to the Matterhorn – perhaps the most recognizable mountain peak in the world. Visit the scenic village of Zermatt at the base of the mountain, then take the underground funicular railway from Zermatt to its upper station at Sunnegga for breath-taking views of the Matterhorn and surrounding mountain peaks. For those adventurous travelers, you can take the mountain trams Blauherd and Rothorn for an even closer view of the mountain, but beware – you could be in a snowstorm in July! After your return to the village of Zermatt, don’t leave before getting a Bratwurst mit Senf!

Lichtenstein, Travel day to Austria

This morning we will depart Switzerland and continue northeast to Austria. Along the way, we’ll stop in our sixth country, Lichtenstein, for lunch and to get another passport stamp! This evening you’ll get settled into your hotel with dinner in Seefeld, Austria.

Travel to Innsbruck, Concert in Seefeld

Today’s adventure continues with a half-day excursion to Innsbruck. Innsbruck has long been a destination for winter sports and is known for its mix of imperial and modern architectures. After some leisure time back in Seefeld, it will be concert time, followed by dinner in the area.

Travel to Salzburg

Continuing our exploration of Austria, today’s day trip to Salzburg will bring you face to face with some of the region’s oldest documented human settlements along with some important musical history as well, such as the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, among others!

Travel to Dinkelsbühl, Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial

This morning, we will leave Austria for our final country of Germany. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit one of the most somber but important memorial sites in the world, the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site. Following the visit, continue to the walled city of Dinkelsbühl, where we will have dinner and overnight.

Leisure Morning, Concerts, Farewell Dinner

You’ll have free time in Dinkelsbühl this morning where you can explore the old medieval walls and towers. Visit some of the variety of churches found in Dinkelsbühl, or perhaps the Museum of the 3rd Dimension, housed in an old city mill. This evening will be your farewell concert and dinner, as you celebrate what has been an incredible journey!

Flights Home

It’s the last morning of a magnificent 15-day tour filled with experiences that will stay with you forever. We’re off to Frankfurt Airport, where we will depart. Check one more time for your passport – you will need it for your return flight to the United States! Today you will gain back the six hours you lost on your flight to London 15 days ago! We return to the U.S. excited, enthused and exhausted yet enriched.
