Your Next Trip is July 5 - July 19, 2025

Musicians Abroad is thrilled to add a Northeast Region tour in 2025. The group includes performers from New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut and Massachusetts. This tour will travel entirely new routing, visiting and performing in Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and the Czech Republic.

Welcome to Budapest. You’ll pass through customs, gather your belongings and get checked in to your hotel. After dinner, get some rest so you are ready for the exciting days ahead.

Budapest Guided Tour, Leisure Day

You’ll start with breakfast at the hotel before we set out for a guided tour of Budapest where you'll have the opportunity to learn about the rich history of the city of Budapest with local guides. Matthias Church, officially called the Church of Our Lady, is referred to by the locals as Matyas Templom. The church has quite the history and a story to tell. Today, Matthias Church is a lively religious and cultural focal point in Budapest, with several church events, weddings, beautiful classical music concerts, choir performances, Christmas masses, Easter celebrations and more. Fisherman's Bastion or The Halászbástya, is one of the best-known monuments in Budapest, located near the Buda Castle, in the 1st district of Budapest. It is one of the most important tourist attractions due to the unique panorama of Budapest from the Neo-Romanesque lookout terraces. Spend some leisure time sightseeing and grabbing some of your first souvenirs. Dinner will be in the area.

Hungarian Parliament, Concert

After breakfast, you’ll tour Hungarian Parliament. The legislative Parliament is the most important organ of representative democracy. In addition to creating the laws and decisions that regulate individual living conditions, it also plays an important role in controlling the executive power. In addition, it elects public law officials and its priority task is the adoption of the annual budget bill. The Concert Band will perform today followed by a Hungarian Folklore Dinner full of celebrations of Hungarian traditions, music and culture!

Travel to Bratislava, Slovakia

After breakfast at the hotel, you’ll check out and load the coaches for a travel day to Bratislava. When you arrive, you’ll get checked in to your new hotel and have dinner.

Tour Bratislava, Concert

Local guides will take the group on a walking tour of Bratislava, the capital city and largest city of Slovakia. Set along the Danube River by the border with Austria and Hungary, Bratislava is surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian Mountains, crisscrossed with forested hiking and cycling trails. The pedestrian-only, 18th-century Old Town is known for its lively bars and cafes. Perched atop a hill, the reconstructed Bratislava Castle overlooks old town and the Danube. The concert band will perform followed by dinner in the area.

Vienna Excursion

After an early breakfast, you’ll travel to Vienna, Austria, first stop, Schonbrunn Palace. Visit the summer home of the Imperial family and one of the most colorful palaces in Europe. More than six centuries of Hapsburg rule have left an indelible mark on Vienna and its art, architecture and music. The immaculate grounds, dotted with fountains and ribboned with formal landscape, form a fairytale setting around this famous palace. After dinner in the area, it’s time for some rest.

Travel to Prague

Grab breakfast, check out and load the coaches for a beautifully scenic drive to Prague. Once in the city, you’ll check in to the hotel and have dinner.

Castle Tours, Concert

Start the day with a traditional breakfast and enjoy a walking tour of Prague’s beautiful castle district. Prague Castle is a castle complex serving as the official residence and workplace of the president of the Czech Republic. Built in the 9th century, the castle has long served as the seat of power for kings of Bohemia, Holy Roman emperors and presidents of Czechoslovakia. The concert band will perform and have dinner in the area.

Travel to Cesky Krumlov

Only 20 kilometers from the Austrian border lies the small South Bohemian town of Cesky Krumlov. Wrapped around a bend of the River Vltava and its famous 13th century castle, it is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe. The chateau itself has over 40 buildings and a grand cylindrical tower from the 16th century, and the town is dominated by the great gothic church of St. Vitus. Just over 100 miles from Prague, this quaint hamlet is a delight to visit. You’ll have a leisurely afternoon to see the sites and pick up your last few souvenirs and gifts. Dinner will be in the area.

Prague Jewish Quarter, Concert, Farewell Dinner

The Prague Jewish Quarter, “Josefov,” which used to be called Jewish Town until 1850, has a very long and dramatic history. It is named after the Holy Roman Emperor Joseph II who emancipated the Jewish population, making the Jews citizens with equal rights. After your final concert, enjoy your Farewell Dinner Cruise to celebrate the trip as a group on the Vltava River. Pack up tonight for an early departure.

Depart for Home

It’s the last morning of a magnificent tour filled with experiences that will stay with you forever. We’re off to Václav Havel Airport Prague for departure. We return to the U.S. excited, enthused and exhausted yet enriched.
